      "verbatimText": "Oct. 22, 2025\n\nAt 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, a security officer reported a fire set in the trash container in the gymnasium driveway. The officer witnessed a person exiting the trash container and leaving campus west towards NE Highland Avenue. The suspect is described as approximately 6-foot tall, between 160-180 pounds with dark skin and a slim build. See alerts.uoregon.edu for a photo of the suspect. The Portland Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The fire damaged the garbage dumpster, as well as the enclosure walls and floor.\n\nIn emergencies or if you see a crime being committed, call 9-1-1 for emergencies, or the UOPD non-emergency number for non-urgent matters 503-412-3700.",
