      "verbatimText": "UNCW Alert!                                                          \n\nA Tornado Warning has been issued for our area, which may include the UNCW main campus and/or the Center for Marine Science.\n\nSeek shelter immediately in the nearest permanent building and remain sheltered until the warning has expired. Avoid modular buildings and facilities with wide span roofs (e.g. Trask Coliseum and Burney Center). Move to an interior hallway or a room on the lowest floor of the building, avoid windows and take shelter beneath a desk or heavy furniture. Refer to building evacuation plans for the designated tornado shelter zone(s).\n\nWait for an all-clear message from UNCW. Monitor your cell phone, campus email, the UNCW homepage, university social media feeds, and local media. Updates will be shared when available.\n\nIf you are not currently on the UNCW main campus and/or the Center for Marine Science, avoid the area. If you are a parent, please wait for your student to contact you, as UNCW responders are busy addressing life safety.
