It was determined that there was an issue with a nearby medium-voltage switch (which connects the main feeder to Alumni Village). Given the repairs necessary, this required the NYS Office of General Services (NYS-OGS) to become involved for emergency repairs. Based upon discussions with NYS-OGS, generators are set to be installed on Tuesday, 9/29/26 (specific time not yet determined). Once installed, these will provide power until a permanent repair can be made.\n\nOnce power is restored, it is recommended that residents follow the FDA’s power outage food safety guide.\n\nResidents are also covered by personal property coverage as detailed on the Residence License Agreement webpage.",
