      "verbatimText": "NYU Clery Campus Notice\n\nAttempted Robbery\n\nOn Friday, December 27, 2024, the Department of Campus Safety received a report of an attempted robbery that took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. in front of 721 Broadway in Manhattan.\n\nThe victim, an NYU student, was approached by two individuals. One of the individuals asked for money while the other individual stated, \"If you don't give us money, we'll have to take it the hard way.\" The first individual then grabbed the student's bag continuing to demand money. The student was able to escape and headed to a nearby NYU building.\n\nThe student reported nothing was taken, no physical injuries and was offered supportive resources. The student declined to report to the NYPD.\n\nDescription of Suspects: The student reports the first suspect is male-presenting approximately 5'8 with dark complexion wearing a black winter jacket. The second suspect is male-presenting approximately 5'11 with dark complexion wearing a gray hoodie carrying a pack of assorted candy. \n\nIf you have additional information about this incident, please contact NYU Campus Safety at (212) 998-2222.\n\nPlease Remember These Safety Tips:\n\nBe aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone. \nWalk in groups whenever you can.
