      "verbatimText": "NAU Timely Warning / Crime Alert (CA# 2025-04)\n\nBurglary, Second Degree Residential (N2500699)\n\nThe NAU Police Department received a report of a Burglary at the Roseberry Apartments on 9/5/2025 between the hours of 07:30 and 09:00 AM. The victims stated that an unknown male suspect entered 3 separate unlocked dorm rooms and took belongings from the rooms and threw them over the balcony, all items were later recovered.\n\nThe unidentified suspect gained entry through unlocked sliding glass doors. There were no signs of forced entry into the occupied respective rooms.\n\nSuspect told one of the victims that he was looking for “Seth.” The residents asked him to leave and he complied. Suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic male, wearing black clothing and a chefs style black coat, yellow earrings, black eyeglasses, short buzzed hair and 19-23 years of age, 5’8” to 6” weighing 230 pounds.\n\nIf you have any information regarding these three incidents, please contact the NAU Police Department.\n\nSAFETY TIPS\n\n• Always lock your doors and windows even when at home or if you have to leave to shower, use the restroom, go to class, etc.\n• Secure open or unlocked doors and windows in your dorm room, office, and common work areas. Use a wooden dowel on sliding glass doors to prevent full-width opening and the screen door should remain locked when in use.\n• Lock up or hide valuables and essential documents.\n• Report all suspicious activity to the NAU Police Department immediately.",
