The victims stated that an unknown suspect cut their window screen and attempted to remove the screen to their dorm room window. Suspect left when the residents moved the blinds. The male suspect is described as having long black hair, wearing a dark hoodie and possibly of Native American decent.\n\nIf you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the NAU Police Department.\n\nSAFETY TIPS\n\n• Always lock your doors and windows even when at home or if you have to leave to shower, use the restroom, go to class, etc.\n• Secure open or unlocked doors and windows in your dorm room, office, and common work areas. Use a wooden dowel on sliding glass doors to prevent full-width opening and the screen door should remain locked when in use.\n• Lock up or hide valuables and essential documents.\n• Report all suspicious activity to the NAU Police Department immediately.",
