      "verbatimText": "Faculty, staff and students—\n\nLongwood University campus will be closing early at noon on Monday, March 16, 2026, due to inclement weather and severe storms forecasted to move through our area. \n\nWhile campus is closed, classes will not be held in-person. Faculty should communicate with students about their adjustments to the class schedule, which may include meeting online or alternative assignments. Students should check their email and Canvas for communications.\n\nAmended hours for on-campus facilities on Monday are: \n\nLongwood Dining:\n\n– Dorrill Dining Hall: Closing at 8 p.m.\n– Chick-fil-A: Closing at 8 p.m.\n– Moe’s: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.\n– POD Market: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.\n– Panda Express, FarmGrill, Greens to Go: Closing at 2 p.m.\n– Upchurch Starbucks: Closing at 2 p.m.\n– The Comma: Closing at 2 p.m.\n\nFacilities: \n\n– Upchurch University Center: Closing at 2 p.m.\n– N.H. Scott Center at Lankford: Closing at 2 p.m.\n– Greenwood Library: Closing at 2 p.m. resources available online (http://library.longwood.edu)\n– Health & Fitness Center: Closing at 2 p.m.\n– University Health Center: Closing at noon (The nurse advice line is available for non-emergent cases. They can be reached at 805-858-3117. If you have a life threatening emergency, call 911.)\n\nThe FAB Campus Line will stop running at 2:30 p.m. today. The Express Line will continue to operate unless weather conditions worsen.",
