      "verbatimText": "Kean University will operate remotely beginning at 5 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 25, through the end of the day tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 26. This decision follows Gov. Sherrill’s declaration of a state of emergency in parts of New Jersey ahead of the approaching nor’easter.\n\nThe Undergraduate Open House scheduled for tomorrow in Union is canceled. Prospective students are invited to attend the next Undergraduate Open House in Union on Nov. 1.\n\nAll classes and activities on the main campus in Union, Kean Jersey City, Kean Ocean and Kean Skylands will take place remotely during this period. Only personnel designated as essential during weather emergencies should report to campus.\n\nKeanu’s Kitchen will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the Union campus and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Jersey City campus to serve residential students in both locations.",
