The\nsubject was initially shouting antisemitic rhetoric and performing Nazi salutes directed at no one in particular. However, as the\nstudent approached, the subject began following the student for approximately half a block while repeating the slurs and gestures.\nOn West 116th and Broadway, the student attempted to cross the street, but the subject verbally confronted the student. A few\nseconds later, the student was able to cross the street and the subject continued to walk south on Broadway. We believe the student\nwas targeted due to their religious attire (yarmulke).\nAt this time, no NYPD report has been filed by the victim, however, Columbia University Public Safety has given the NYPD notice of\nthe incident.\nNo other information is available currently.
